The ColoradoGuy.com Fantasy Football League has been a symbol of excellence and greatness in fantasy sports since 2007.
The competition is tough. The press coverage can be intense. Not everyone has what it takes to succeed in this league.
Below are photos and a brief biography of all 14 managers. Do check out all of their social media links. :)
K.J. |
Lil Miss Mayhem - Originally I met K.J. on Twitter and
she is an exclusive member of the "Long, Naturally Curly and So Damn Proud" hair group that I run on Twitter.
KJ lives in Baltimore, is a Ravens fan and is an avid runner.
She has played fantasy football before, but this is her first year in this league.

Aimee |
Yella Hammers! -
Aimee is another long distance runner who will be running in four marathons this fall! Isn't that crazy?!
Aimee and I met on Twitter last year, and my second bike across America ride promoted
Smile for a Lifetime, a
charity she represented for many years. This is Aimee's first time in my league.
Aimee's entry into this league is very historic. She is the first manager who lives in Arkansas!
Arkansas, ArKaNsAs, A-R-K-A-N-S-A-S! Go get 'em Razorbacks. Y'all gon' git run ovah by a pack u' wild Hogs!
That photo of Aimee was taken in West Memphis, Arkansas, when she met me on Day 33 of my 2011 cross-country ride. :)

Flea Flickers - Shawn's Flea Flickers are the 2010 champions. After two
woeful 5-9 and 5-8 finishings in the last two years, he put it all together last year. Shawn lives in northeast
Kansas, but vacations a lot in Colorado.

Vince |
Buffs - At only five characters, the Buffs might be the shortest team name,
but don't be fooled, they have a lot of power and punch!
Vince's Buffs were the 2009 reigning champions and in 2010, he reached the semifinals
before losing to the Flea Flickers.
Vince is a northern Californian who is a college student at Colorado University in Boulder.

Lisa |
Victor Victorias - Ah Lisa! This sassy blonde
is a good friend who once visited me on my birthday
and toured Phantom Canyon Road with me.
Her home was also the site of the 2011 draft order video with ping pong balls! :)
As for her team, her Victor Victorias have been bottom dwellers for the past four years.
Her team has finished with records of
6-7, 5-8, 4-9 and 4-10. That's bad, Lisa. You are the New York Mets of the league! :(

Arnetta |
Houston Honeys - Arnetta
is a massage therapist in Houston who loves life, laughing and her Pittsburgh Steelers.
Quite a honey herself, her catchy team name of the "Houston Honeys" is a fan favorite.
Last year she won the "Newcomer of the Year" award and had a great time playing fantasy football for the first time.
She hopes to improve upon her 5-8 record in 2010.

Krista |
Noisy Hummingbirds - Krista
is obtaining her Ph.D. in something related to the sciences at Michigan State. The poor girl has
lived in the Midwest her whole life, and found my website after researching
mountain hikes in Colorado.
Her team name is based on her love of bird watching.
Last year was Krista's first year in my league, and she finished with a 4-9 record. She is determined to do better this year!

Janet |
Hotlanta Divas -
Janet in suburban Atlanta runs the Hotlanta Divas.
She is a 6-foot-tall body builder with looooooong legs! This is Janet's third year in my league.
The Divas finished 7-6 two years ago (making quite a splash in the playoffs) and just missed
last year with a 6-7 record. The Hotlanta Divas and the Garbage Cans are the fan
favorites to reach the 2011 finals this year in a "dream match up"!
Earlier this year,
I met Janet
during my bike across America ride in northwest Georgia.

an IT guy who doesn't like computers and Harley-Davidson motorcycle rider. He's a self-proclaimed "sucker" for dive
Mexican food
joints and graduated from Denver University. Brandon first year was 2009, when his Radiators finished 6-7, but last year his team showed
some punch with Jamaal Charles and Arian Foster as his running backs. His team finished 8-5, making it to the semifinals.

Phil |
PhX Slam - Among all managers, I have known Phil the longest since 2001.
He's met me on both of my bike across America rides in
2008 and
2011.
Over the years,
I also have pictures of his 1955 Chevrolet Truck (that he sold),
our hike at Devil's Head Lookout Tower
and even when he ran for Hair Consultant. Lastly, we hiked
Mt. Sherman and
Mt. Bierstadt in 2010.
Phil's Phoenix Slam have made the playoffs all four years of the league (2007-2010),
and he has the best winning percentage of all-time in the regular season.
