ALMA, COLORADO: Highest Elevation for Incorporated Town!
June, 2004 - Altitude 10,578 Feet
Alma, Colorado! It's a small town between Fairplay and Breckenridge, south of Hoosier Pass.

That highest point is Mount Bross, which overlooks the town.
Looking west towards Mosquito Gulch.
Make sure you visit my Kite Lake pictorial, where the scenery was downright stunning! ;)
The Alma Fire House & Museum ... It was closed! :(

Inside a local coffee & ice cream shop, was a very nice piece of photography celebrating the spirit of the residents.
Perhaps I should have done more in the town and in fact, I had intended to find the mayor of Alma, but instead I wound up having dinner at the "South Park Saloon".
That's the food I ate!
So Alma is officially in Park County, in a region known as "South Park." Here's all of my Park County pictorials:
  • Hartsel, Guffey
  • Eleven Mile Reservoir & Canyon
  • Tarryall Region, Wilkerson Pass
  • Hayman Fire at Lake George

  • This bar & restaurant really milked the "South Park" theme for all it's worth. See their menu ... heh heh!
