THE MOUNTAINS OF BRECKENRIDGE, COLORADO! A Pictorial Of Nearby Scenic Mountains
September 2005
Here's another pictorial of mountain scenery in and around Breckenridge. This is 14er Quandry Peak (alt. 14,265 feet) teasing us with touches of autumn colors. :)
Red Mountain (alt. 13,229 feet) stands very proud to the east.
Heading north on Highway 9, the town of Blue River offers some very nice views of Bald Mountain (alt. 13,684 feet).
Arriving in town, I got a couple of pictures of the Tenmile Range that is home of Breckenridge's many ski runs.
A couple of photos inside the town of Breckenridge:
LEFT: Kudos the planners of the River Walk Park in the heart of the town. It's a really nice place to sit, talk with a friend or even wade in the Blue River with kids. :)
RIGHT: A peak stands tall in the foreground.
Confession: All three of these photos were taken in Park County, south of Hoosier Pass. That's Mt. Sherman (top), a broader view of Mt. Sherman and the Mosquito Range (middle) and Loveland Mountain & the Mt. Democrat - Lincoln - Bross cluster (bottom).

All of my pictorials of the Breckenridge & Hoosier Pass region:
  • Bicycling in Breckenridge, Hoosier Pass
  • Kite Lake, Alma, Breckenridge Roadtrip Pics
