MANITOU CARNIVALE 2004!

People & Parade Photos - February 21, 2004

The 12th Annual Manitou Carnivale!

Here's the link for Carnivale 2003!
Erin and Bud Jr., brother and sister, before the parade.
The Parade!

Notice all the hippie drum bangers in the forefront!
Oooooooooh! What a scary snake! :)
Oh I just love these multi-person costumes!
LEFT: A freaky dude in pink and black.

RIGHT: That's Deb Steddom beneath that costume. She's a local who's been encouraging me with biking across America. She's done it herself! ;)
Three freaky people watch the parade from the Barker House porch.

Wowwee!
Bob Marley!
Hee haw!

This was my favorite costume in the parade. His extended arms wiggled up and down as he walked which made it so cool! :)
Here are all the Manitou parades I have on here:
  • Homecoming Parade (2001)
  • Christmas Parade (2001)
  • Clydesdales Through Downtown (2002)
  • Olympic Flame Through Downtown (2002)
  • Scotish Parade (2003)
  • I have no idea who the Hash House Harriers are.

TOP LEFT: I love this shot!

TOP RIGHT: Two more guys with tie-dyes.

BOTTOM: Cute kid in some kind of orange duck.

    Interesting People at Carnivale!

LEFT: A Manitou cop enjoys the festivies!

RIGHT: Becky Elder, a professional gardener in town.
    What a rockin' lion!
    A freaky guy in violet.
One token picture of me! :)
Local Rob Sharp looks towards my camera with suspicion.
LEFT: A tie-dye butterfly and her cute baby! :)

RIGHT: Ex-Hair Consultant John "John Boy" Fields has an emotional moment.
A "hippie drummer" and her two kids!

Don't they look really happy in this shot?!
LEFT: Ex-Mayor Bud Ford (on right) emceed the parade along with...

RIGHT: ...this other guy in tie-dye!
Later in the afternoon, I ran into Boki who was selling his beloved Honda to Harvey (left).
