CENTRAL CITY, COLORADO! Pictures Around Town In Central City! (Summer 2005)
 |
While my parents were in town in Denver,
we decided to spend the day with a visit to the
Colorado Railroad Museum following by Central City, Colorado. This
is a historic mining town in Clear Creek County
with low stakes gambling casinos. It looks a lot like Cripple Creek,
which is located in the Pikes Peak region. |

Central City definitely has lots of old Victorian charm.
I found this town to be a great place to walk around outside with twists, turns and hills.
This is definitely not cookie-cutter America! |

The Bonanza Casino. If you're looking for
huge and ritzy casinos, go to Blackhawk, the "sister city" of Central City.
If you're looking for more of a quaint and historic Colorado "town with character"
feel, Central City is probably your best bet! No pun intended! ;) |

Regretably, we did not take "Oh My God Road" into or out of town, but
perhaps I will be back to do a full pictorial about it. Here are my other pages from this
region: Pictures Along Interstate 70
Rocky Mountain National Park
Vail Pass (Near Vail, CO)
Fremont Pass (Copper Mtn. to Leadville)
