With February coming to an end, I realize most people who live in "normal areas" are starting to think about spring. Well, if you live or plan to visit central Colorado, don't be fooled ... Winter is alive and well!

March and April are our snowiest months and beautiful snow has covered the ground for nearly three consecutive months. If you're physically active, now is a perfect time for skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowshoeing, ice skating, etc.

This week, I carried my camera with me everyday and snapped various photos of the snowy scenery in Leadville, Buena Vista and in between. All of these photos were posted on my Twitter page, but this weekend I am compiling them into a neat and tidy photo gallery for you.

	The snow began to fall on Friday afternoon and with the exception of a few hiatuses, it continually sleeted and snowed well into Sunday evening. That night, I was inspired to pull over to capture the entrance sign for Buena Vista, Colorado with the flash highlighting snowflakes in the air. :)
	Driving north on Highway 24, north of Buena Vista. This area is close to "The Numbers" whitewater rafting starting point on the Arkansas River. I was particularly happy with nearly perfect lighting and sharpness of the snowy contours of the road.

	Long icicles hang in Leadville that could probably be used as a weapon. :)

	Lake County Road 2, which travels up California Gulch in Leadville, had some pretty and snowy spots.
