Cripple Creek, Colorado, July 2001
Elevation 9494 feet ... wow! |
Bennett Avenue is the main drag that has all of the casinos. |
Gotta love the sideburns on this banjo player! |
So Cripple Creek works hard at maintaining its old western image. There are horse buggies, original Old Victorian style buildings, etc. |
Will someone please tell me why elderly people seem to be addicted to slot machines? |
Thought this was a good shot of the hotel. |
A road sign just outside of town. :) |
Cripple Creek, along with nearby Victor, used to be large cities in Colorado. They were major districts for the mining of gold and other precious metals. |
There's some interesting murals on the sides of buildings on Bennett Avenue. |
