Candidate Boki Announces Campaign Trip to Hawaii
February 28, 2002
MANITOU SPRINGS, CO --
Hair Consultant candidate Boki Evans announced he will
be flying to Hawaii this weekend to spend the next
two weeks meeting voters in the Aloha State. Evans wants to spread his campaign message
in Hawaii to secure the state's four electoral college votes.
"Aw man, I'm gonna miss you for sure," replied Steve, "but I think you should take pictures of you meeting hoola girls."
Evans, an avid camera enthusiast and co-owner of a
photography studio
in Manitou Springs, will take pictures of his activities and has
pledged to post them on the Friendship Board.
On the Campaign Trail
Boki has been working arduously at spreading the message of his
campaign for Hair Consultant, the chief position that advocates for Steve's long hair.
Wearing his blue gortex coat on an extremely cold February morning,
Boki shook hands with patrons at Spice of Life Café, known as the
de facto campaign headquarters of his campaign.
"I'll be voting for Boki," said Lauren Hewitt of Manitou Springs,
"he's got great hair."
Appearing to thrive on telling people of his campaign, Boki declared, "I want
the voters to know that Steve's hair is awesome and if
I'm elected Hair Consultant, I'll do everything I can to make sure
he never cuts it."
Although polling data is sketchy, most believe Boki and opponent Donna Ward
(another fierce advocate for Steve's long hair) are
closely matched in the April election. Kendra Morrell of Colorado Springs
is also listed on the ballot, but is running distantly in third place.
Boki's popularity on this web site has gained steadily since last year.
He witnessed the local man give Steve a free jar of honey,
bought Steve a Bokimatti Gourmet drink,
and helped orchestrate the recent pajama party at the popular coffee shop.
