In a press release today, Christian choose Christina F. of Falcon, Colorado (affectionately known as "Toteco" on the message boards) to be the hands-on person to help with basic maintenance and accountability tasks for Steve's naturally curly hair.

"Because I live in Ohio, I realize I won't be in person to help out Steve all the time," reflected Christian, "that's why ol' Tote can do a great job."

Christina "Toteco" (see picture below), a 24-year-old print machinist and bird enthusiast, stated she is willing to help out however she can.

"I must say I do love Christian's stance … If this does happen and you are elected (in the upcoming April election), I would be willing in a hair crisis to do whatever for Steve. I haven't touched his hair yet, but it's very safe to say that I would love to do that!" replied Christina.

According to insiders, Christian's announcement is viewed as a wise strategy to sway undecided voters away from his two female opponents and towards him. Some believe Christian is attempting to "kill two birds with one stone" by specifically choosing "Toteco" as a forerunner: He appears to be trying to neutralize Marisa's cutenss with a "cute, sweet, funny and fresh face" of his own. Also, since "Toteco" is a lifetime Colorado Springs area resident and has been recently spending time with Steve on weekends, he may thwart Alissa's efforts to promote herself as the only local Colorado candidate.

Christian insists, however, that his forerunner announcement is about doing what's best for Steve's hair and nothing more.

"If I'm elected Hair Consultant, then I'm responsible for leadership. It's imperative that Steve gets a hands-on person in Manitou Springs to help and look after him with his hair." explained Christian.

"Not to mention, they could hook up, but don't quote me on that." he added.
