JACKSONVILLE, FL - Hair Consultant candidate Ben "One With The Tao" Paulson was blasted as a "horse's ass" (by Florida Pete) for admitting that he voted for John Kerry, the Massachusetts liberal who unsuccessfully ran for U.S. President in 2004.

"I don't feel nearly as bad as Ben, who must feel like a horse's ass for voting for John Kerry." said Florida Pete, a fellow candidate for Hair Consultant in the upcoming mid-April election.

With people learning that Ben, a self-proclaimed socialist, is the only person who voted for John Kerry among the four Hair Consultant candidates, many in the ColoradoGuy community shared their criticism of Ben.

"When (Ben) gets more life experience and lives in the real world, his liberal views will change." said Susan in Indiana, known as Luvtofly on the forums.

"I think Ben should be booted from the campaign for being such an ANTI-AMERICAN!!!! He should move to Sweden where he'd be among socialists!!!!" wrote Laloo in Arizona, who recently endorsed candidate Kansas Kelly.

With emotions and name-calling running high, Steve "ColoradoGuy" Garufi tried to bring people back to calmness. "Now I wouldn't say Ben is anti-American. That's a harsh statement. But I will say it is very disturbing to know that someone as liberal as Ben could be HC." wrote Steve, "I'm with Susan ... Ben needs to get out of his liberal academic world, hold a job and start having kids, then he probably won't be so liberal."

Beth in Falcon, Colorado, known as Littlehands (who is also Florida Pete's "running mate") tried to be diplomatic while criticizing Ben. "I don't think Ben, the Liberal, and Socialist should be the next H.C., I think it should be someone, that is more balanced, like Pete!! :) He is very fair and knows a lot about hair and besides, the Long Hair friends gave him a plug and endorsed him!! :) Hooray for Pete, for next Hair Consultant!! :)"

Hair Consultant campaigning has become very contentious in the past two weeks with many negative campaign attacks being launched against the three major candidates, Ben, Kansas Kelly and Florida Pete. Also, earlier in the week, candidate Erin dropped out of the race when an article featured her habit of tossing cigarette butts in public areas.

"This campaign has been the dirtiest ever for sure, and this is all just about me growing my hair long. Pete was called a weasel recently, Kelly was told she has ugly bangs and wears hats, and Ben was labeled lazy, selfish, a hypocrite, a socialist (which Ben admits to being) and now this." stated Steve, while resting at a Sonic Restaurant after biking 40 miles in the Colorado Springs area.
