NAMPA, IDAHO -- Sarah Bowers, the teenage campaign manager of Hair Consultant candidate Ben "One With The Tao" Paulson, went on the offensive today by labeling Florida Pete (right photo) as a "hide-behind-the-computer weasel."

"Pete is very much a hide-behind-the-computer weasel! He can't even run a clean campaign, nor is he telling you what he will do for your hair. Pete spends all his time bashing on Ben's campaign because he's intimidated by him and afraid he's going to lose, so instead of building up his own he's trying to bring Ben down. I think that's called immaturity on Pete's part." wrote Sarah.

Sarah (left photo) also criticized Florida Pete's lack of knowledge about hair: Pete knows NOTHING about hair! He can't even keep his own hair from falling out, and he wants to tell you how to take care of your hair? It's so ridiculous it's almost funny."

"Let me say it again ... S-T-O-P B-E-I-N-G A W-E-A-S-E-L!" wrote Sarah, to conclude her press release.

Sarah's brutal words came in response to direct attacks by Florida Pete that Ben (left photo) is lazy, selfish, a socialist and an abandoner of the Science and Outdoors Forums. (Ben has denied all accusations with the exception that he had self-described himself as a "socialist" on the Politics Forum.)

The public attack towards Florida Pete on behalf of Ben's campaign is seen as a significant change from Ben's strategy to intentionally refrain from all negative comments about his opponents, similar to Mike Dukakis' passive-styled presidential run in 1988.

"The attacks on others might work out for Ben. He can have Sarah be the 'attack dog' while all the while Ben comes off as the 'good guy'. It's a lot like how the Swift Boat Vets For Truth did the dirty work for President Bush last year." explained Steve.

The position of Hair Consultant was created by Steve (the webmaster) in 1998, as a way to have someone to help with reach his long hair goals. This year, three candidates (Dr. Jon, Florida Pete, Kansas Kelly and Ben) are running for the position with actual voting happening from April 13-16.
