"I'm not afraid to laugh at myself ... I do it all the time." wrote Sarah, "Vote for me. Not Pedro."
In her campaign announcement printed below, Sarah
outlined some of her experience and passion for hair as reasons she
is the best candidate for Hair Consultant.
Presently, Sarah is finishing up her last year of high school, works a part-time job
and plans to go to college in the fall.
She also serves as a moderator on the Poetry Forum.
"Sarah definitely has pretty
hair and I'm sure she would make a great Hair Consultant
if she wins." said Steve, "It would be nice to have someone knowledgeable
to talk to about my hair which is very high maintenance of course."

Although campaign rules do not allow official
running mates and only Sarah's name will be placed on the ballot,
Sarah is promoting a cute brunette from Norway nicknamed
"Bloom" as her so-called running mate. Bloom visits the discussion
forums on a regular basis and has even talked to Steve on the phone (from Norway!) on a few occasions.
Sarah's Official Press Release
"I am officially and formally announcing that I am
running for the 2006 Hair Constultant position.
I am more than qualified for the position.
1. I have my own beautiful hair, which has at many
points in my life been long. Bloom also has amazing hair.
2. We know how to take care of hair. Even when colored, highlighted,
and sometimes damaged, we manage to keep very soft, shiny,
beautiful hair, and we will keep your hair just as healthy.
3. I've cared about your hair for years, and even tried to run in the past.
4. We know what we're doing when it comes to hair. You can't go wrong with
two women who are hair experts.
5. I've been at CG festivals in the past, and will be at this
festival, unlike most of the previous consultants.
There's no way around it, Bloom and I are the perfect candidates.
Plus, we're cute. Pete can't beat that." -Sarah
The position of Hair Consultant was created in October 1998
so that one person could be a coach, advice-giver and encourager
for Steve in growing his long, naturally curly hair as long as possible.
Since then, the position has changed with the times and now includes the
Hair Consultant being a "public figure" on this web site.
There have been 14 Hair Consultants in the history of Steve's hair.
The Hair Consultant election will be held on April 13-16, 2006,
and all are encouraged to vote. Visit
the 2006 Hair Consultant election page for more details.
