GEORGETOWN, COLORADO! Historic Buildings & Scenery In Georgetown, Colorado! (April 2006)
I had just driven through the Eisenhower Tunnel (where I had just taken photos of Summit County and
heading west on I-70 and approaching Georgetown. I stuck my digital camera out of the window and snap! ;) |
I usually like to take some kind of photo with the town's name in it. I thought this sign with the large green mountain in the backdrop was pretty neat. |
Now Georgetown is a really small and historic town nestled in a canyon. For Colorado standards, this is a really old town. According to my sources, only 1,088 residents call Georgetown their home according to the 2000 U.S. Census. |
Their main street has many well-decorated buildings. |

Here are some of my other Colorado small town pages:

This is the historic Alpine Hose firehouse just above downtown Georgetown. |
