Trick Or Treating In Manitou Springs Like many towns, Manitou Springs has the tradition of kids
(and some adults) trick or treating on Halloween in the afternoon. The shop merchants promote this, as
it's a great way to get people in town and inside some of the stores.
On this page are two years (2002 and 2004) where I went out in
costume.
In 2002, I dressed in a tiger costume and Amber was a surgeon. On this first outing, I think I walked with Amber
to keep an eye on her as a favor to her Mom, but truth be told, I didn't want to go trick or
treating alone! We were partners and had fun! :)
A sign on a window.
The crystal shop on Canon Avenue blew out a plethora of bubbles. Very nice!
Thumbs up to the Navajo Shop, who gave away some Power Bars!
I got a delicious capuccino-flavored bar, :)
Donna Ford gave out candy in front of the Dulcimer Shop.
We ran into Rain and her daughter Shelby was dressed up as a devil. I love that red wig!
Afterward, I settled at Spice of Life Cafe and got a shot of
Boki dressed in a beautiful burgundy outfit. :)
Little Evie must have had the cutest costume. She was dressed like a pink dragon.
Look at that amazing tail!
My costume also had a tail and we got into a tail fight! :) :) :)
Japhy dressed up as a fire fighter. :)
In 2004, I wore a chicken costume and Amber was dressed as Elvira, I believe.
Now, my chicken costume wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as my tiger costume two years ago.
By the way, I rented both of these at a costume shop in Colorado Springs.
Photos of other people's costumes, including Erin, Sherrie and an unknown kid dressed as a mummy.
Evie and Mamie ... two sisters. So cute!
As you might know, I'm all about eating and
having no food morals.
Tubby's Turnaround won the award for the best candy given with this package of Starburst.
The right photo showed my stash of candy. Mmmmmm! :)
