October 18, 2003 - Today I hiked on trails in Mueller State Park
in Teller County, Colorado. This is a popular area for camping, but it also has trails that are suitable for
beginners. I have also heard this is a great spot for
snowshoeing in the
winter.
Directions: From the town of Divide, Colorado, travel south on Highway 67.
The entrance is on your right (west).
Most leaves are gone, but I spotted this
one aspen hanging onto its fall colors!
There's a nice lookout at the visitor center with pretty mountain scenery.
Autumn leaves shriveling on the ground.
That's the view from Red Tail Overlook. It was so peaceful and quiet!
I sat on a large rock and relaxed. Self-portrait included.
