Day 2: Pain, Agony and Mental Breakdown!

The next morning, after riding
into Cortez the day before, I rode only 5 or 6 miles and was in bad shape physically.
My legs, shoulders and butt were terribly sore! So there I was in physical pain and feeling demoralized as I sat outside a supermarket... |

...Then I "snapped." Within an hour, I had rented this truck and drove one-way to Pagosa Springs, about 100 miles away. Ha ha ha ha! (You'll notice the REST of Day 2's pictures aren't even biking pictures!) :) |

I stayed with friends of friends in Pagosa Springs ... look at their lovely house on the lake! |

At first, it was really difficult to enjoy myself because of the guilt-factor of driving a truck, but I got over it. Tomorrow would be a new day! :) |
