Palmer Park in Colorado Springs - November 2002
Palmer Park - a protected and scenic city park surrounded by the suburban sprawl and noise of Colorado Springs.
If you're the type that just can't get enough of interesting rock shapes or formations, then you surely need to visit!
Nice shot! Pikes Peak in the background with Colorado Springs subdivisions and yellowish rocks in the foreground.
The sun hides behind this rock! :)
Up along the Mesa Trail, there's lots of cute yucca plants!
From the many vantage points on the mesas, I zoomed in on the intersection of Union & Austin Bluffs. It's just amazing how much traffic goes through there!
Alright, I have no idea who the woman is with her two dogs.
Alright, I'm not knocking Palmer Park, but here's a list of better places to hike BEFORE you do this one:
  • The Crags
  • Waldo Canyon Loop Trail
  • Garden of the Gods
  • North Cheyenne Canyon
  • Lower Barr Trail & Upper!
  • Red Mountain
  • That's me! :)

Again, notice how fascinating the geology of the ground is!
    Nite folks!
