So I took these almost a year ago and kept the captions as they were. It turns out the area I visited (Ellicot Springs, about 25 miles east of Colorado Springs) just got hit by a tornado this week. Very sad. :(
Eastern Plains of Colorado, June 2000

A sea of yellowish grass. |
Not much to say, is there? |
Lush grass with barbed-wire fence. |
Wild sunflowers abound. |
A building in Ellicott. Ho hum. |
I must say, it was a really nice trip out there. |
