The quality of my photos on this page are
rather poor. In fact, I'm embarrassed by them, but they do the job of showing the Siamese Twins in
Garden of the Gods.
The Siamese Twins is a lesser-visited site that doesn't get anywhere near the large crowds of tourist traffic like other parts of the park.
The trail from the parking lot is only about a ten minute walk.
The rocks, shaped like siamese twins, with
Pikes Peak in the background.
Photography is probably best in the morning,
when the sun is coming from the east. I showed up around
4 p.m. and did my best with the silhouette effects.
The back (western) side of the Siamese Twins.
Again, lighting was fairly poor.
A zoom-in of Pikes Peak.
The ground is very dry and like clay.
In fact, notice how crumbly some of the red dirt is in the second photo.
Two shots of the red rock terrain.
Walk up a ridge beside the Siamese Twins
and you'll get a nice view of the larger rock structures, including the Kissing Camels.
