Sister In Law 'Jane' Rejects Web Site

December 2, 2000

WESTCHESTER COUNTY, NY -- During the annual Thanksgiving gathering of the Garufi family, Steve’s sister-in-law “Jane” publicly declared her aversion and disgust with any exposure she could possibly receive through SteveGarufi.com. She boldly blocked the internet entreprenuer from publishing any pictures that revealed her identity on the web site.

Instead, Garufi was only allowed to take a picture of the back of his sister-in-law’s head as well as a snapshot of her hands holding a Thanksgiving dish.

“How do you know there aren’t crazy or dangerous people looking at your web site? I just don’t think it’s safe.” argued ‘Jane,’ whose real name is not mentioned in this article. When Steve directly asked if she was implying that certain people in the SteveGarufi.com community were crazy or dangerous, ‘Jane’ refused to answer.

According to Steve, ‘Jane’ expressed concerns earlier in the summer about having a picture of her on the web site in June 2000, while Steve was kayaking the Passaic River.

“I remember (Jane) acting kinda skitzy about the whole thing but she was acting kinda weird about the tipi article I wrote too. She took the whole race-of-people thing way too seriously.” Steve reflected.

‘Jane’s husband’, who is the older brother of Steve remarked, “Well that’s okay. If she doesn’t want to have her picture on, then that’s okay with me.”

Steve’s older brother and wife ‘Jane’, live in an affluent, bedroom community outside of New York City. They have been married for over four years and have an fifteen month old son.
