It was extremely foggy on our morning visit to Terry Peak in the Black Hills of South Dakota.
However, it was my only morning to visit and I told my friend Kyle (who lives in Belle Fourche) that I
wanted to stand on top of a lofty mountain. Here is where we went ... :)
At first, we mistakenly took the road to the ski lodge area, but then realized there was another road that climbs the other side of the mountain to the top.
Heading up the road. We did not see another person or car anywhere on this dreary mid-September day.
Park at the end of the road and walk the short distance up the stairs ...
... to the lookout!
What an awful picture. We did our best to enjoy ourselves. Honestly, it was great to be in the Black Hills regardless of the weather.
Video
Probably the worst video on the observation deck of Terry Peak.
