Day 3! That's Joan (the woman who fed me elk for dinner in Pagosa Springs). She dropped me off at the top of the divide. |

It was good to be back on the bike again! |

Riding down was quite nice and very scenic! The Rockies are magnificient. |

For a good while, I rode right along the Rio Grande as a little baby! :) |

I enjoyed about 25 miles of downhill and then there was approximately 25 miles of relatively flat-riding through South Fork and into Del Norte. The scenery was beautiful ... my body felt good on the bike ... FINALLY, I WAS HAVING FUN! :) |

I often stopped right on the side of the road for water.
That mountain looked much larger in person.
